About Your Instructor
, the owner, has over 40 years of experience flying Robinson helicopters. He has worked in EMS, logging, fire-fighting, flight training, and ENG operations. Jerry is an A&P mechanic certified with IA authorization and specializes in touchdown auto and CFI training.

Programs & Pricing
All times listed below are FAA minimums. Achieving full proficiency in the dual times listed can be difficult — we recommend budgeting an additional 10% on the total for planning purposes. There is no sales tax in Oregon. Due to current fuel pricing, a fuel surcharge is incorporated per flight. See our current rate sheet for full hourly pricing.
Private Pilot Certificate
Obtaining a private pilot certificate is the first step. Whether your goal is an aviation career or you want to fly for fun, this is your starting point.

Commercial Pilot Certificate
Unlike a private license, a commercial pilot license allows you to be paid for flying. This is a crucial step if your goal is an aviation career.

This quote assumes a total of 150 hours of flight time, 50 of which are in a helicopter. 100 hours PIC, of which 35 hours are in a helicopter. This quote also assumes the student obtained their private helicopter with the hours listed above and has 42 hours of logged flight time in a helicopter.
Flight and Ground Instructor — Private and Commercial @ $47/hour, CFI @ $83/hour
Instrument Pilot Rating
While private and commercial licenses allow a pilot to operate only under visual flight rules (VFR), adding an instrument rating qualifies a pilot to fly under instrument flight rules (IFR) and helps create a more proficient pilot.
